American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR RN for a Level I Trauma Center with 2 years of circulating experience across multiple services and on-call requirements.

Details

• Position is in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) at a Level I Trauma Center and teaching hospital
• Shift schedule is 3x12 hour shifts, 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM
• On-call required: 1 twenty-four hour weekend call per month
• Possible holiday coverage may be required
• Patient population includes CT, Vascular, Surgical Oncology, Plastics, Colorectal, Robotics, and Bariatric surgeries
• Uses EPIC EMR system
• Radiation badge use required; badge provided by agency

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license must be in hand at start of contract
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience circulating across CT, Vascular, Surg Onc, Plastics, Colorectal, Robotics, and Bariatric procedures
• BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association are required
• Radiation safety compliance required
• Experience scrubbing cardiac/vascular cases is highly preferred
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Driver's license and SSN required for consideration
• Must reside outside a 60 mile radius to qualify for travel rate; locals considered at local rate

Additional Information

• Travelers must be able to circulate all listed surgical services
• Facility is a Magnet hospital with 820 staffed beds
• Previous perm staff (including PRN) must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
• All RTO must be provided at submission and approvals are based on department needs
• Travelers may be called off one shift per two-week pay period
• Mandatory completion of pre-start online modules (approximate time 4 hours)
• Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November)
• Free and low-cost parking options available for staff
• Acceptance of first-time travelers is not preferred
