American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department night shift position, requiring active NC or compact license and proficiency with Epic EMR.

Details

• Position is in the Emergency Department (ED) of a hospital
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Requires working either two weekend shifts or four weekend days every six weeks
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• All travelers may be required to float to other campuses as needed
• Care provided to diverse emergency patient populations
• Uses Epic EMR system and experience is required
• Assignment lasts 13 weeks

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum of 2 years recent Emergency Department RN experience required
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required
• CPI, PALS, and TNCC certifications preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience as Charge RN and Level 2 Trauma preferred
• Must pass a mandatory EKG exam during compliance with up to 2 attempts allowed
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Education must be verifiable through a third party and not from institutions on the Florida Education Audit list

Additional Information

• All new hires must complete unit-based online modules (2-4 hours) during orientation
• Strict zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• Testing and compliance must be completed by the Wednesday prior to start date
• Candidate should prepare for the EKG exam independently as no study materials will be provided
• Background check must show no open cases
• Candidates are expected to wear appropriate clinical attire as per department standards
• RTO (requested time off) must be declared at time of application; no changes accepted after submission
