Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN with an active IL license and at least two years of recent acute care ED experience for a night shift position at a Level 1 Trauma Center.

Details

• Position is in the Emergency Department of a hospital with Level 1 Trauma Center designation
• Night shift schedule: 3x12 hour shifts, 7:00 pm – 7:30 am
• Every other weekend required (2 weekends per month)
• No block scheduling or special scheduling requests permitted
• Mandatory floating to other units or facilities within 50 miles, including possible assignments outside of primary competency
• Uses Cerner charting system

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at the time of application
• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience in the Emergency Department
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS
• Must provide proof of COVID vaccination prior to start (booster not required)
• Must reside within a 75-mile radius for consideration as a local candidate; locals accepted

Additional Information

• Must wear navy blue scrubs (not provided)
• Team-based model may be used when floated outside of primary competency
• Compliance requirements are strict, with lab work to be completed within 72 hours of accepting an assignment
• Maximum 5 days of time off allowed during assignment, with no more than 2 consecutive days, and no RTO on weekends or holidays
• No RTO is permitted on the day before or after a holiday
• Parking available for $2/day at the Juvenile Temporary Detention Center, with shuttle service provided
