American Traveler is seeking a Postpartum RN with at least one year of recent experience, valid CA RN license, and advanced neonatal resuscitation skills.

Details

• Work in a hospital postpartum unit caring for mothers and newborns
• Night shift schedule from 7:30 PM to 8:00 AM, 12-hour shifts
• 14-week assignment
• Patient care requires knowledge of newborn monitors, Bili-blankets/lights, radiant warmers, and adult cardiac monitoring
• Use of Epic EMR is required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• At least 1 year of recent full-time postpartum or related nursing experience within the last 3 years
• Current BLS and Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications
• Demonstrated skills in electronic fetal monitoring, IV skills, lab draws, high-risk medication administration, urine point of care testing, capillary blood glucose testing, and IStat
• Ability to perform heel sticks and venipuncture on newborns and administer newborn medications including IV administration
• Experienced with maternal-newborn and gyn teaching, post-operative bladder training, and use of newborn monitoring equipment
• Last 4 digits of SSN and date of birth required for consideration

• Responsibilities include comprehensive postpartum nursing care, newborn assessments, medication administration, and patient/family teaching
• Support and education for maternal-newborn care and post-operative needs
• Expectation to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
