Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiac Stepdown unit with rotating day/night shifts and a minimum of 18 months recent specialty experience.

Details

• Position is in a hospital Cardiac Stepdown unit
• Rotating day and night 12-hour shifts (7am-7:30pm and 7pm-7:30am), with shift preference honored when possible but may be variable to meet operational needs
• Work at least every other holiday is required
• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment will be completed during orientation

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications required, all active with nothing pending
• Minimum of 18 months permanent experience in Cardiac Stepdown or closely related specialty required prior to travel
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty is required for consideration
• No license hits or open background cases accepted

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include providing care to cardiac patients in a progressive stepdown environment
• Accepts local candidates at the same pay rate
• All required modules must be completed prior to start and are billable up to 4 hours
• Negative 10-panel drug screen required within 12 months of start
• Permanent or per diem employees may not return within 1 year of previous end date at the facility
• Badging and fingerprinting must be completed onsite before start date
• PAPRs not available for those with facial hair except in cases of approved medical or religious exemption
