Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position in California requiring a CA RN license, Ambulatory Surgery and Endoscopy experience, and current AHA certifications.

Details

• Work in the Endoscopy unit of an acute care hospital
• Patient population consists of endoscopy and GI procedure cases
• Day shifts with 4x10hr or 5x8hr schedules available, typically starting at 6:30 AM
• Uses EPIC for charting; prior EPIC experience is required
• Navy blue scrubs required for RNs
• Free parking available in unrestricted spaces

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from AHA required
• Ambulatory surgery or endoscopy experience within the past 2 years required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Must be able to complete lab work within 3-5 days of signing
• Must provide two recent supervisor references from within the last year
• Return staff must have been away for at least 1 year to be eligible

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of endoscopy nursing care with a focus on holistic and individualized care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and maintain strong patient and family communication
• Modules are completed during orientation and may take up to 5 hours of e-learning
• Only one holiday request off will be approved during the contract
• A 50-mile radius rule applies; locals accepted at local rate
