American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN with neuro experience and a valid TN or compact license for a night shift assignment on a busy neurology unit.

Details

• Position is based in the Neurology Unit of a hospital setting
• Cares for patients with strokes, neurological disorders, brain and spine injuries, brain tumors, surgeries, seizures, and epilepsy
• Unit includes Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) rooms and manages patients with AMS, dementia, and behavioral health needs
• Involves both med-surg and neuro patient populations
• Night shift schedule from 18:45-08:15
• Assignment duration is 13 weeks
• Floating required between units or facilities within a 35-mile radius based on staffing needs and patient census
• Travelers will be notified prior to shift if a float assignment is required

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 1 year recent neuro or med-surg RN experience
• Current BLS certification from AHA required
• Nursys license verification and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start
• NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and US home address

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include caring for diverse neuro and med-surg patients and assisting with epilepsy monitoring
• Holiday coverage may be required as part of the rotation
• Local candidates are accepted but may receive a reduced rate depending on distance from the facility
• All positions are auto offer
• RTO (time off) should be requested upon submission
• Two professional references and a copy of driver’s license are required for consideration
• Extension discussions should begin at least 45 days before assignment end date
• Covid vaccination is not required
