American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager with hospital discharge planning and utilization review experience for a fast-paced ortho/neuro surgical unit, requiring an active VA or compact RN license.

Details

• Position is in the Case Management department of an acute inpatient hospital
• Focus on ortho/neuro surgical patient population
• Primary duties include discharge planning and managing multiple admissions and discharges daily
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts, weekdays with some weekends and holiday coverage
• EPIC charting system experience is required
• Casual business attire is required

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license in hand is required
• Minimum of 5 years of RN experience in an inpatient acute care hospital
• Prior utilization review and discharge planning experience required
• BLS certification via the American Heart Association is required
• CCM or ACM certification is preferred
• EPIC experience is required
• Travel RN experience is preferred
• Must have a clean license and background with no prior hits
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility

• Responsibilities include case management, discharge planning, and utilization review in a high-volume surgical unit
• Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent patient transitions
• Holiday coverage may be required as part of the rotation
• Pre-employment fit testing is required; PAPR accommodations are not available
• Three hours of pre-start online modules are required
• Two professional references are required for consideration
