Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring a MO or compact RN license, with Cath Lab and Epic documentation experience.

Details

• Hospital-based Cath Lab with 3 cath rooms and 2 EP rooms, currently one EP room under renovation
• Handles an average of 18-20 adult cases per day with coronary and peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Day shifts are 4x10 hours per week, with shift start times between 6:30 AM and 10:00 AM
• On-call obligations are up to 2 days per week and every other weekend, with a four-person call team and at least 2 RNs required
• Specialized equipment includes MacLab hemodynamics, Acist, Synchvision, and X-ray equipment from Philips and Siemens
• Epic is used for documentation and experience is required
• Travelers may be required to float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years recent Cath Lab RN experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Ability to circulate, perform conscious sedation, and monitor telemetry; scrub experience preferred
• Experience with Epic charting required
• Structural heart experience and MacLab hemodynamic monitoring preferred
• No local candidates accepted within a 75-mile radius
• Must provide two professional supervisory references within the past two years
• First-time travelers are accepted

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include circulating, conscious sedation, and telemetry monitoring in a high-volume Cath Lab
• Orientation and required modules must be completed prior to start
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Free parking is available for staff
• Must not have been a permanent employee at any facility in this system within the past year
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off allowed per 13-week contract; no time off permitted the first week
• Facial hair must accommodate fit testing standards for required mask use; shaving may be required
• No medical marijuana cards accepted
