American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele float position requiring Michigan RN licensure, telemetry experience, and availability for major holiday coverage.

Details

• Work in a short-term acute care, Magnet, teaching, Level 1 trauma facility
• Assigned to Med/Surg Tele with floating to all adult acute care, Med/Surg, and Stepdown units
• Patient ratios range from 1:4-6
• Night shift schedule, 4x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Expected to work 3 weekends per 4-week schedule
• No on-call required
• Uses Epic EMR; Epic experience required
• Mixed patient population from all adult acute care units

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required by start date (no compact licenses accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• At least 2 years Med/Surg Tele experience is preferred
• Must have travel nurse experience
• Experience in telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation and management required
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Epic charting experience required
• Must be able to float within adult acute care scope

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include providing comprehensive nursing care for acute Med/Surg and telemetry patients and floating to various adult units as needed
• Required to work at least 2 of the 3 major holidays, including the day before and after the holiday
• Requesting time off (RTO) is limited to 5 days maximum and must be submitted with initial application; no block scheduling allowed
• Holiday requests are limited to one holiday off per contract
• Scrub color is hunter green

• First-time travelers are not accepted for this role
• Former employees must wait at least 12 months before returning
