Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Stepdown RN with a TX or compact RN license and recent Epic experience for a mixed med/surg and intermediate care unit.

Details

• Work in a stepdown unit handling a mix of med/surg and intermediate care patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratios range from 1:4 to 1:6, depending on patient assignment
• Day shift with options for 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:30
• May float to departments of equal or lesser acuity
• Epic EMR used on unit; recent (last 6 months) experience required

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 to 2 years of recent stepdown or related acute care experience
• Recent experience with Epic EMR required, within the last 6 months
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; locals not accepted
• Former permanent staff must be gone at least 1 year before consideration
• Must be able to work 2 out of 3 major holidays, if needed

Additional Information

• Care for a diverse patient population requiring intermediate or med/surg level care
• Orientation includes onsite completion of required modules
• No travel pairs or groups will be considered
• No more than 3 days of requested time off will be approved; no time off allowed during first week of orientation
