American Traveler is seeking an experienced MS/Tele RN with a NY license for a night shift position providing care to cardiac and telemetry patients.

Details

• Work in a hospital MS/Tele unit with 26 beds
• Patient population includes post-PCI, pacemakers, AICDs, post-MI, and patients receiving cardiac pharmacological interventions
• Patient ratio ranges from 1:5 to 1:7
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00), with every other weekend and holiday coverage required
• Floating to other units as needed is required
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active NY RN license in hand is required
• Minimum of one year recent MS/Tele nursing experience
• Current BLS certification
• Proficiency in Epic EMR is required
• Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias, respond to emergencies using rapid response/code teams, provide IV therapy, and perform non-invasive airway management
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, emergency response, IV therapy, respiratory support, and practicing isolation precautions
• Team members provide care for post-cardiac intervention patients and those with cardiac devices
• Scrub color requirement is any combination of navy and white
• Holiday coverage is mandatory as per shift rotation
• First-time travelers are not specified; return staff must have a one year gap
• Modules must be completed prior to start, with compensation provided for up to five hours
• All requested time off must be submitted at initial application
