Description

American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Behavioral Health Home Hospital position providing acute psychiatric care in home settings and requiring an active MA RN license.

Details

• Provides hospital-level acute psychiatric care to patients in their homes as part of a research trial
• Covers a patient caseload of up to 4 patients at a time
• Visits each patient in person at least twice daily
• Works as part of a multidisciplinary team with both in-person and remote support
• Day shifts from 07:00 to 17:00
• Uses Epic EMR for documentation

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required; no conditional or pending licenses accepted
• AHA certifications required
• No minimum years of experience specified
• Experience with Epic charting preferred
• Must provide proof of flu vaccination; no exemptions allowed

• Care is provided in accordance with organizational and community health standards
• Position is part of a pilot randomized controlled trial expanding behavioral health care in the home
• Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, teaching, planning, implementation, and evaluation for psychiatric patients
• Caregivers must be present in the home during patient admission
• Parking at Boston locations is not validated and may incur daily costs; public transportation is available
• Local candidates must reside at least 60 miles from Massachusetts General Hospital to qualify for the travel rate
• Must collaborate closely with the clinical, psychiatric, and home health teams
