American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring an active MD or Compact RN license and night shift availability.

Details

• Work in the Med/Surg Telemetry unit of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), includes every other weekend and every other holiday
• Patient population includes ED boarders
• Potential to float within the hospital, with travelers prioritized for floating

Requirements

• Active MD or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years RN experience required; first-time travelers will be considered
• Current BLS, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required
• ACLS certification preferred
• Two recent professional references required: one supervisor/manager and one charge RN

Additional Information

• Must be comfortable floating within hospital units as needed, within scope of experience
• Holiday rotations and every other weekend coverage required
• RTO must be submitted with initial application and cannot be changed after contract is offered
• Not accepting candidates whose permanent residence is within 50 miles of the facility
• Former staff must have a 12-month gap before returning as a traveler; return travelers must be away at least 6 months
• Most assignments allow for one extension before requiring a 6-month break from the facility
