Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical ICU night shift position requiring an active NY RN license and Epic EMR experience.

Details

• Work in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) of a hospital setting
• 16-bed unit with critically ill adult patients, including sepsis, ARDS, renal failure, heart failure, overdose, multi-organ failure, post-cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure cases
• Handles advanced interventions such as CRRT, EKOS, IABP, ECMO, and Impella
• Nurse-to-patient ratio typically 1:2, with occasional 1:1 based on acuity
• Night shifts, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:30)
• Required to work every other weekend
• Floating to other units as needed
• Epic EMR experience required
• Local candidates within 75 miles are not eligible

Requirements

• Active NY RN license in hand
• Minimum of 1 year recent MICU experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Ability to manage critically ill adult patients and operate advanced life support equipment
