American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring acute care rehab experience, night shift availability, and current EPIC proficiency.

Details

• Position is in a Med/Surg inpatient rehab department with a focus on patients requiring rehabilitation
• Typical patient population includes CVA, TBI, ABI, spinal cord injury, neurological diagnoses, and post-op patients with generalized debility
• Patient ratio is 1:6
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Requires working every third weekend and holidays as needed
• Floating is required to all campuses as necessary
• EMR used is EPIC; experience is mandatory

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum of 2 years recent RN experience required
• Prior acute care rehab experience is mandatory
• Current BLS certification required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Ability to pass an EKG exam during compliance with two attempts allowed
• No first-time travelers accepted
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include interpretation of lab results, medication reconciliation, obtaining health histories, allergy documentation, vital sign assessment, dressing changes, setting up sterile procedure trays, specimen collection, and telephone triage
• Role involves calling pharmacy and handling patient medication refill requests
• All candidates must complete unit-based modules as part of orientation, averaging 2-4 hours
• Zero tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences
• Background check must not contain any open cases
• Holiday coverage may be required as assigned
• Education from schools listed on the Florida Education Audit Diploma Fraud list is not accepted
