Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Neuro Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring neurology and MS/Tele experience, along with BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.

Details

• Work on a Medical Surgical Neuro Telemetry unit in a certified stroke center and Level IV Epilepsy Monitoring Unit
• Serves neuro patients as well as telemetry overflow from other populations
• Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week, 19:00-07:30
• Weekend and holiday shifts are required on an every-other basis
• Floating within the facility to other units may be required to support hospital needs

Requirements

• Active MD or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum two years of relevant experience required
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Previous neurology and med/surg telemetry nursing experience required
• Basic EKG competency required; testing provided and must be completed before orientation
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Care for neuro and telemetry patients in a certified stroke and epilepsy monitoring setting
• Must complete virtual onboarding modules and annual specialty-specific education
• Return travelers must have a minimum six-month break before returning
• Travelers may not be assigned for more than 365 days continuously at the facility
• Locals are accepted at the same rate
• Holiday and weekend work is required as part of the regular schedule
