Description

American Traveler is seeking a California-licensed RN with strong Med/Surg and orthopedic experience and at least 2 years of recent clinical practice.

Details

• Medical Surgical and Orthopedics department in a hospital setting
• Day shifts with 12-hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:30, working three shifts per week
• Every other weekend work requirement
• No on-call required
• May float within scope to other units and between campuses as needed, with a shuttle available for inter-campus travel
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required and in hand at time of consideration
• Current AHA BLS certification required and must be valid at time of consideration
• Minimum two years of recent Med/Surg RN experience required
• Must be available to complete lab work within 3-5 days of signing
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Returning travelers must have been gone at least one year

• Responsible for the management and delivery of competent, compassionate, and effective nursing care from admission to discharge
• Care for a diverse patient population with both medical and orthopedic needs
• Collaborate and communicate with patients, families, physicians, and care team to coordinate care and discharge planning
• Expected to participate in multidisciplinary rounds, quality improvement, and educational activities
• Orientation includes e-learning modules completed during onboarding
• Only one holiday time-off request will be approved during the assignment
