Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring a current FL or compact license and prior EPIC experience.

Details

• Work in a hospital Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:5-6
• 12-hour day shifts (7:00 to 19:00), three shifts per week
• Every other weekend or a total of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period required, determined by unit needs
• Floating required to other PCU or hospital units and locations as necessary
• EPIC EMR system is used and experience is required
• No on-call responsibility
• Local and travel candidates accepted at the same rate

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license required at the time of application
• Minimum 1 year of recent PCU nursing experience
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Two professional references from a manager, supervisor, charge nurse, or director within the past year required
• Flu vaccine required from 10/31 to 3/31 unless exempt for medical or religious reasons

Additional Information

• Primary responsibilities include providing care for progressive care patients, participating in team-based care, and accurately documenting in EPIC
• Modules assigned during orientation and annually using facility LMS
• Free parking is provided with a decal at orientation
• Scrubs of any single color are required with no mixing, logos, or prints
• Timekeeping is managed using Kronos with badge access
