American Traveler is seeking an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN with a current CA license and willingness to float between hospital campuses for a night shift contract.

Details

• Position is on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting
• Primary patient population includes adults requiring medical-surgical and telemetry care
• Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00 – 07:00)
• Required to work every other weekend
• May float to other units within scope of practice and to different campuses as needed
• No on-call responsibilities
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• At least 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required
• Must be available to complete lab work within 3-5 days of accepting assignment
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility

Additional Information

• Responsible for overall management of patient care from admission to discharge
• Expected to provide safe, compassionate, and effective nursing care
• Required to respond to medical and environmental emergencies
• Orientation includes completion of required modules averaging 1-5 hours
• RTO (requested time off) for only one holiday will be approved
• Return staff are eligible only if separated for at least one year
• A shuttle is provided if floating between campuses is required
