American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Med/Surg Orthopedics position requiring EPIC and orthopedic/trauma experience.

Details

• Work in a hospital Orthopedics unit specializing in pre-op and post-op orthopedic care
• Care for elective and trauma patients, including total hip, knee, and shoulder replacements and repairs
• Night shift schedule: 3x12s, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required, one holiday and one evening required during the holiday period
• No on-call responsibilities
• Nurse to patient ratio is 1:6, with possible stretch to 7
• Use of Safe Patient Handling and orthopedic equipment (CPM, Knee Immobilizer, Bone Foam, etc.)
• EPIC EMR experience required and utilized on unit
• All travelers may be required to float to any campus as needed

Requirements

• Active NC or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years RN experience required; no first-time travelers accepted
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Orthopedic and trauma nursing experience required
• EPIC EMR experience mandatory
• Must pass a required EKG exam during compliance with two attempts allowed
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Education verification must not be from a school on the Florida Diploma Fraud Education Audit list
