American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Room RN for a night shift role in a stand-alone emergency department requiring at least 2 years of ER experience and a SC or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a free-standing emergency department setting
• Handles emergency and urgent care cases for diverse community populations
• Patient ratios are 6:1 for boarders and 4:1 for emergency department patients
• Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.)
• Required to work every other weekend
• No call required
• No floating to other units or facilities
• Uses EPIC for charting

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license; pending licenses are considered with proof of application
• Minimum of 2 years of recent emergency room RN experience required
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (AHA only)
• SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted

Additional Information

• All returning staff (including PRN) must have a 1 year separation from the health system before being eligible for travel positions
• RTO must be submitted at time of application; any requests for more than 7 days or for holidays require facility approval
• Will participate in emergency response duties during hurricane season (June–November)
• Orientation includes completion of required online modules prior to start
• Scrub requirement: solid royal blue or white top with royal blue bottoms
• Local candidates within 60 miles are considered at a different pay rate
• Block scheduling requests require manager approval and are subject to unit needs
