Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN with a SC or compact license for night shifts in a stand-alone emergency department.

Details

• Work in a free-standing emergency department facility
• Specialize in emergency care with patient ratios of 4:1 for ED patients and 6:1 for boarders
• Night shift hours are 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend is required
• No on-call requirement
• No floating to other units is required
• Uses Epic EMR; experience with Epic preferred

Requirements

• Active SC or multi-state compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department RN experience
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC (AHA only)
• SSN and driver's license required for consideration
• Previous permanent staff or PRN must be separated for at least 1 year before applying
• Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate; locals may be accepted on a case-by-case basis

Additional Information

• Responsible for providing emergency nursing care to patients of all acuity levels
• Royal blue or white tops with royal blue bottoms are required
• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• All required orientation modules must be completed before start
• Holiday coverage may be required based on schedule and facility needs
• Time-off requests must be submitted prior to assignment and are subject to approval
• During hurricane season (June-November), staff may be assigned to emergency response teams
