American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN with a NJ or compact license, trauma, and pediatric experience for a night shift role.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department (ER) of a large academic hospital
• Trauma Level I or II setting
• Night shifts, 3x12 hours (19:00–7:30)
• Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday shifts)
• May float to the ED Observation Unit or between Paterson and Wayne locations
• Patient ratios target 1:6, may be 1:7–8 on occasion
• 88 licensed beds not including hallway beds; patient population includes all ED patients, observation cases, and admitted boarding patients
• No on-call responsibilities
• Cerner charting experience preferred

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience in a large academic center
• Trauma Level I or II experience required
• Pediatric, triage, STEMI, and stroke experience required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC (TNCC must be scheduled if not already obtained)
• Will not accept first-time travelers

Additional Information

• Hunter Green scrubs required for both top and bottom
• May care for observation and admitted boarding patients within the ED or observation unit
• Flu vaccine required
• Parking available for $50/month with a $10 ID badge fee
• Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted at a lower pay rate
• No blocked scheduling is permitted
