American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Stepdown Float Pool position with rotating day/night shifts and a requirement for 18 months of recent cardiac stepdown experience.

Details

• Work in a hospital stepdown float pool environment
• Rotates between day (7am-7:30pm) and night (7pm-7:30am) 12-hour shifts as operationally needed
• Variable shifts based on hospital needs; preferred shift is considered but not guaranteed
• Patient population includes cardiac stepdown cases
• Progressive care unit (PCU) experience preferred but not required

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required at the time of consideration
• Minimum 18 months of recent permanent experience in cardiac stepdown prior to travel, including travel experience
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required and must be active
• Must pass ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation
• One supervisory reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the stepdown specialty is required
• No license infractions or open legal cases on background check accepted

Additional Information

• Required to work at least every other holiday
• Permanent and per diem employees are ineligible for rehire within 1 year of prior contract end date
• Locals are accepted at the same bill rate
• Onsite badge pickup and fingerprinting required prior to start date
• Annual and pre-start modules must be completed as assigned
• Facial hair restrictions apply to use of PAPRs unless there is an approved exemption
• Nurses are temporarily exempt from the nicotine-free policy
• Orientation includes mandatory assessments with two maximum attempts allowed
