American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown unit position requiring 18 months of cardiac stepdown experience and an active OH or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a hospital stepdown unit focused on cardiac patient care
• Care for patients requiring progressive or stepdown level monitoring
• 3x12 hour shifts with rotating days and nights, shifts may be variable as needed for operational needs
• Uses EMR system Qualivis – Lotus for submitting hours
• Required to work at least every other holiday
• ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments completed during orientation

Requirements

• Active OH or compact state RN license at time of consideration, with no pending status
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required and active
• Minimum 18 months of permanent experience in cardiac stepdown required prior to travel; travel experience will suffice
• Must provide one supervisory reference in the specialty
• No open background check cases and no license hits accepted

Additional Information

• Orientation includes ECG and safeMedicate testing, with two attempts allowed
• Locals are accepted at the same bill rate
• Permanent and per diem candidates must observe a one-year separation before returning
• Candidates must complete onsite fingerprinting and badging prior to start
• Nurses are temporarily exempt from nicotine-free facility rules
• PAPRs are not allowed as an alternative for facial hair except with approved exemption
