American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry float position requiring MI RN license, BLS, ACLS, and strong tele experience.

Details

• Work in a Magnet, Level 1 Trauma, short-term acute care teaching hospital
• Assignment is on Med/Surg and Telemetry units, floating to all adult acute care and stepdown units as needed
• Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Patient ratios are typically 1:4-6
• Expectation to work 3 weekends in each 4-week schedule
• No on-call required
• EPIC charting used; prior EPIC experience required or will be oriented

Requirements

• Active MI RN license required by start date; compact licenses not accepted
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience preferred
• Prior travel RN experience is required
• Demonstrated proficiency in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Telemetry experience required
• High school diploma or equivalent required as proof of education

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include providing comprehensive care on Med/Surg Tele units and managing adult acute care patient needs in a float pool setting
• Will be assigned to work 2 out of the 3 major holidays including the day before and after each
• Holiday time off may be requested for one holiday only
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• Block scheduling is not permitted
• Modules required before start; allow 5 hours for completion
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this assignment
• Returning staff must have a 12-month break before returning
• Scrub color is hunter green
• Parking is complimentary with badge access
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at time of consideration and cannot be added later
• RTO is limited to a 5-day maximum per contract and certain blackout dates apply
