Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for flexible day shift assignments in Arizona, requiring an active AZ or compact RN license and critical care certifications.

Details

• Work in a hospital-based Emergency Department with 11 Main ED beds, 6 Fast Track beds, and 7 Observation Unit beds
• Rotations required through Main ED, Fast Track, Observation, Triage, Quick Registration, Covid Tent, and Entry Screening
• Typical schedule is 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm with flexibility to cover other shift types as needed
• Schedule pattern is generally 7 days on, 7 days off, alternating 36 and 48 hour work weeks
• Travel RNs may need to float to other hospital departments based on qualifications and unit needs

Requirements

• Active AZ or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department RN experience required
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC
• Conscious sedation certification required (may be obtained through facility after confirmation for a fee)
• Flexibility to cover various shifts and areas within the Emergency Department as staffing needs change

Additional Information

• ED nurses will regularly rotate assignments and may be moved between areas daily or mid-shift based on patient volume
• Responsibilities may include triage, patient registration, Covid testing or immunization clinic support
• Travelers are expected to occasionally float to other departments and may be assigned either a patient load or task-based duties
• Monday orientation required; compliance deadlines must be met to start as scheduled
• A maximum of one week RTO (requested time off) is allowed during the contract
