American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Home Health position requiring HCHB and Oasis proficiency in the Texas area.

Details

• Provide in-home skilled nursing care to adult and geriatric patients
• Work as a field RN covering territories up to 50 miles from the home base
• See an average of 4-6 patients per day, equating to at least 6 points daily and 30 points weekly
• Participate in an on-call rotation, including one night during the week and weekends as needed
• Chart using Homecare Homebase (HCHB) and Oasis, with documentation required at the patient’s home
• Day shift (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
• Mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rates, starting from the first to the last patient
• Dress code is scrubs of any color

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 1 year of Home Health experience required
• At least 2 years of overall clinical RN experience required
• Experience and proficiency with Homecare Homebase (HCHB) and Oasis required
• Current BLS certification required
• Current driver's license and proof of reliable transportation and insurance required
• Non-smokers only due to sensitive patient population
• CHPN certification preferred but not required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include comprehensive assessments, plan of care development, and interdisciplinary care coordination
• Must be able to respond promptly to patient cancellations or reschedules to meet weekly points requirements
• Field nurses coordinate closely with schedulers and the certifying provider
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• No hits on nursing license permitted for consideration
• Candidates residing within a 50-mile local radius are accepted
• HCHB training must be completed prior to start if not previously held, with candidate responsible for upfront cost and proof of certification required
• Must be willing to travel to various locations within the extended service area
