American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown/Telemetry position with required EPIC experience and competency in EKG telemetry.

Details

• Work in a hospital stepdown unit caring for patients including stable chronic ventilator cases
• Targeted patient ratios are 1:4, with possibility of ratios up to 1:5-6
• 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 to 19:30, with 36 or 48-hour workweeks available
• Use of EPIC EMR system is required
• Must float as assigned, including to multiple nearby campuses within 15 miles
• Traveler will be first to float within or outside specialty clusters at facility discretion
• Required to work every other weekend and holiday
• No local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1.5 years of nursing experience, with level 1 or 2 trauma preferred
• Experience with stable chronic ventilators required
• Must have current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Completion of an online EKG/telemetry competency assessment prior to start
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• IV start skills preferred
• EPIC charting experience is required
• No prior license action accepted

Additional Information

• Must complete online EKG/dysrhythmia exam prior to assignment
• Up to 24 hours of online modules required during orientation, with 18-24 hours average
• Reference checks are not required for consideration
• Time off requests (RTO) must be submitted with initial application and will not be accepted or negotiated after offer
• No more than 14 days of RTO allowed for any reason
• Travelers are not eligible for employee incentive programs
