American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cardiovascular ICU assignment requiring a TN or compact RN license and AHA BLS and ACLS certifications.

Details

• Work in the Critical Care Unit with a focus on cardiovascular intensive care
• Unit has a capacity of 6 beds serving young adult through late adult patients (ages 18 to 60+)
• Patient population includes cardiac surgery, myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, cardiogenic shock, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias, and post-cardiopulmonary arrest
• Night shift from 18:45 to 07:15 with 36 or 48 hour workweeks
• Must work one of two major holidays during the assignment
• 13-week contract assignment during the winter season
• Local candidates are accepted but at a reduced pay rate, subject to a radius rule

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification updated per group requirements
• Nursys and primary source license verification within 30 days prior to start
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a valid US home address
• Copy of driver’s license required for consideration
• Two separate professional references required

• Responsibilities include providing critical care to cardiovascular patients as described
• All positions are auto offer and do not require interviews
• No COVID vaccination required for consideration
• Must be willing to discuss contract extension with manager 45 days before contract end
• Holiday coverage is required for at least one of two major holidays during the contract
• First-time travelers are eligible for consideration
• Only one position application per system-wide health system allowed
