American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 16-week GI/Endoscopy assignment in California, requiring a CA RN license, BSN, and GI lab experience.

Details

• Work in a specialized GI/Endoscopy lab setting
• Primarily responsible for screening colonoscopies, diagnostics, and therapeutic procedures
• Rotating roles in pre-op, intra-op, and PACU as needed
• Day shift, Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Patient ratio is 1:1
• Procedures include EGD with BRAVO pH capsule
• Utilization of the Argon Plasma Coagulator
• Epic EMR required

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of GI/Endoscopy nursing experience required
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge in all areas of GI lab care, including conscious sedation and cardiac monitoring
• Competency with Epic EMR required

Additional Information

• Must be able to assist physicians in performing endoscopy/GI lab procedures with aseptic technique
• Ability to identify cardiac dysrhythmias required
• Self-motivation and prioritization of patient healthcare and privacy are expected
• Pharmacology knowledge with emphasis on drug interactions and side effects is necessary
