American Traveler is hiring a Dialysis RN with at least one year of acute dialysis experience and an active SC or compact RN license for a day shift contract.

Details

• Hospital-based dialysis unit in a Level I Trauma Center and teaching facility
• Day shift position, working 3x12 hour shifts from 6:30 am to 7:00 pm, Monday through Saturday
• Assigned every other weekend
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2 in the dialysis unit
• On-call required: two weekday PM call shifts and one weekend PM call shift every 4 weeks
• No floating to other units or facilities required
• Uses Fresenius 2008T dialysis machines and Mobile Reverse Osmosis Machines
• Electronic charting with Epic EMR (Experience preferred)

Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required prior to start (must be in hand)
• Minimum of 1 year acute dialysis RN experience
• Current BLS certification required, ACLS preferred (AHA certifications only)
• Accepts first-time travelers in this specialty
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility for travel rate consideration; local candidates accepted at a reduced rate
• Previous staff (including PRN) must be separated from facility employment for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler

• Care for acute and chronic dialysis patients in an advanced practice, high-volume environment
• Royal blue scrubs required for this assignment
• Orientation includes completion of facility-required modules prior to start
• RTO (requested time off) must be submitted up front and is subject to approval based on facility needs
• Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November)
• Convenient parking available nights and weekends with a one-time fee
