Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN with trauma and pediatric skills for a night shift assignment requiring a NJ or compact license.

Details

• Work in a Level I or II Trauma Emergency Department within a large academic medical center
• Care for adult and pediatric ED patients, including observation and admitted boarding patients
• Work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:30
• Patient ratios target 1:6, may occasionally be up to 1:7-8
• May float to ED Observation Unit and between locations in Paterson and Wayne
• Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday)
• No call responsibilities
• Cerner charting experience is preferred

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a large academic center Emergency Department
• Recent ER, trauma (Level I or II), triage, peds, STEMI, and stroke experience required
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC (must have course scheduled prior to start if not complete)
• First time travelers are not accepted

• Scrub color is hunter green for both top and bottom
• Parking is available for $50 per month; ID badge fee is $10
• Flu vaccine is required
• Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted at a reduced rate
