Description

American Traveler is seeking a Telemetry RN with 2 years of experience and an active MO or compact license for night shifts in a cardiac telemetry setting.

Details

• Position is in the Telemetry unit of an acute care hospital
• Patient population involves cardiac telemetry cases
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5-6
• Night shifts: 3x12 hours, 19:00 to 07:30
• Requires working 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week period
• No on-call required
• Floating within scope may be required
• Epic charting system is used
• Scrub color is navy

Requirements

• Active MO or compact RN license required or in hand
• At least 2 years of recent telemetry RN experience
• Certifications required: BCLS and NIHSS; ACLS and CPI preferred
• Experience with tele monitoring and reading rhythms
• Experience administering cardiac medications and drips (no titration)
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Must reside more than 75 miles from facility
• No previous permanent employment at the facility in the past year

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted
• No block scheduling accommodations
• Maximum of 7 days RTO allowed per 13-week contract, not permitted during the first week of orientation
• All travelers can remain up to 18 months with a 3-month break required after reaching the limit
• Completion of required modules is compensated during pre-start orientation
