American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a high-volume Level II emergency department night shift position in California, requiring 2.5 years of trauma ER experience and a CA RN license.

Details

• Work in a hospital emergency department setting
• Level II trauma center with an annual ER volume over 90,000 patients
• Night shifts, 3x12 hours (19:00–07:30)
• Weekend shifts required as needed by the department
• No floating outside the emergency department
• No on-call requirement
• Uses EPIC for documentation

Requirements

• Active CA RN license in hand required
• Minimum 2.5 years of recent experience in a large Level II trauma emergency department
• Large volume ER experience handling over 90,000 annual visits
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and PALS required
• Travel experience required
• Must provide at least one professional reference from the past two years
• No prior permanent employment at the health system allowed
• No Nursys hits

Additional Information

• First-time travelers accepted with required experience
• All required modules and EPIC training are completed during orientation
• Pre-approved time off requests limited to a maximum of five days and must be submitted with the application
• No holiday time off will be approved
• Locals accepted at a local pay rate
• Candidates will be required to complete online training modules before starting
• Must not have employment gaps in the last 7 years without explanation
