American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry night shift role requiring Epic proficiency and prior neurology/stroke patient experience.

Details

• Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting
• Night shifts available, with options for 3x12 or 4x12 hour schedules
• Patient ratios are 1:7
• Caring for patients with neurology and stroke diagnoses
• Required to work weekdays, every other weekend, float, and holidays as assigned
• Epic EMR is used and proficiency is mandatory

Requirements

• Active VA or compact RN license in hand
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with prior travel experience required
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS (both from AHA), and NIHSS
• Must be proficient in Epic documentation
• Experience required in IV starts and telemetry interpretation
• Prior experience with neurology or stroke patient care required
• No prior license or background hits accepted
• Must pass EKG testing on the first attempt with a minimum score of 80%
• Facility does not accommodate PAPR; candidates must not have a history of fit test issues
• Permanent address must be greater than 50 miles from facility

• Mandatory module completion required prior to start date, approximately 3 hours
• Candidates must provide two professional references for consideration
• Completion of fit testing and EKG testing are required before starting the assignment
