American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Stepdown Float Pool position requiring current OH or compact licensure and cardiac stepdown experience.

Details

• Work in the HVTI-Stepdown Float Pool within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes cardiac stepdown and progressive care cases
• Schedule is 3x12 hour shifts with day/night rotating shifts; shifts may be variable based on hospital needs
• Float throughout stepdown units as needed
• Required to work at least every other holiday
• Uses Qualivis – Lotus for timekeeping

Requirements

• Active and permanent OH or compact RN license at time of consideration
• AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required and must be active
• Minimum of 18 months of recent permanent paid experience in cardiac stepdown or progressive care
• At least one supervisory reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty is required for consideration
• Must successfully complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments during orientation
• No open background check cases or license issues allowed
• Candidates cannot return to the facility within one year of previous end date

• Responsible for providing specialized nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients in a float pool environment
• Testing for ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate is required during orientation with a maximum of two attempts
• Orientation includes completion of required modules and onsite fingerprinting prior to start date
• Scrub or dress code details will be provided by the facility upon onboarding
• Locals are accepted at the same bill rate
• PAPRs are not permitted as an alternative for caregivers with facial hair unless there is an approved exemption
