American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown Telemetry position in a Level 1 Trauma hospital, requiring an active MI RN license and strong telemetry skills.

Details

• Work in the Stepdown Unit of a short-term acute care teaching hospital
• Patient assignment ratio is 1:4-6 on the Stepdown Unit
• Night shift schedule with 4x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Required to work 3 weekends per 4-week schedule
• Care for adult patients with telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia management
• Floating is required to all adult acute care units
• Epic EMR experience required
• No on-call requirements
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate with no radius rule

Requirements

• Active MI RN license in hand by start date (compact licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of Stepdown/Telemetry nursing experience
• BCLS (AHA) required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Must have experience in telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Proof of high school level education required
• Epic charting experience required
• Preferred certifications: ACLS, CPI, NIHSS, ventilator management, and conscious sedation

• Must be available to work at least 2 out of 3 major holidays, including the day before and after
• May request one holiday off during assignment
• No block scheduling permitted
• Professional dress code of hunter green scrubs required
• Magnet designated, teaching hospital, and Level 1 Trauma Center

• Modules must be completed pre-start and may require about 5 hours
• Returning staff must wait 12 months before being rehired
• Maximum of 5 days off (RTO) allowed per contract, with black-out dates for RTO on 8/29-9/1 and 10/31-11/1
