American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager with a current CA license and Interqual experience for a day shift emergency department role.

Details

• Position is based in the emergency department (ED) with potential to float to other inpatient units including Med/Surg, OB, NICU, ICU, Psych, and ER
• Day shift schedule is three 12-hour shifts, 7:00 – 19:30
• Utilizes Interqual for case management and assessment
• Electronic Medical Record systems used include Epic and Cerner; prior experience required

Requirements

• Active and valid CA RN license (no EMSA) required at time of application
• At least 3 years of case management experience required
• Minimum of 1 year acute care experience required
• Must have one of the following certifications in-hand: ACM, CCM, or RNBC
• CPI Blue Card from Crisis Prevention Institute required for all ED nurses; MAB or online CPI not accepted
• Epic and Cerner charting experience required
• Fully vaccinated for COVID-19
• Must pass an EKG exam (up to 3 attempts)
• Two supervisory references required for consideration
• Return staff must have a 1-year gap before returning as a traveler

• Case management responsibilities include assessment, planning, and coordination of patient care within the ED and other inpatient areas as needed
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• No blocked or self-scheduling allowed
• Locals accepted at the same rate
• No requested time off (RTO) allowed within the first two weeks; maximum of 7 days RTO preferred for a 13-week contract; submitted RTO cannot be changed except to cancel
• Annual and pre-start online modules are required and self-reported
• Candidate may not be interviewed prior to selection; questions can be directed to the account manager
