Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN - Operating Room with Georgia or compact licensure and significant acute care background for circulating responsibilities in a busy OR setting.

Details

• Work in an adult operating room environment
• Circulate cases across all surgical services, including Level 1 trauma, laparoscopic, endoscopic, total joints, orthopedic trauma, and specialty neuro procedures such as craniotomies
• Utilize lasers, endoscopic and laparoscopic equipment, robotics, and electronic nursing documentation systems
• Cover 21 operating rooms with a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts from 06:45 to 17:15
• No floating outside the OR, but may work various shifts to meet staffing needs
• Call is required as part of this position

Requirements

• Active RN license in Georgia or compact state
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA
• At least 3 years of nursing experience in an acute care facility
• Experience with circulating in the OR, including trauma, orthopedic, and neurological cases
• Proficiency with electronic nursing documentation systems
• Excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills
• Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently

• Responsible for individualized direct patient care through all phases of the surgical process
• Involved in process improvement activities and professional development within the department
• Orientation program of 1 to 2 weeks provided in the department
• Must give two weeks' notice if ending assignment
