Description

American Traveler is seeking a Neuro ICU RN with at least 2 years of recent experience, ACLS/BLS, and an active NJ or compact RN license for a night shift assignment with floating requirements.

Details

• Work in the ICU with a focus on neuro critical care
• Float between ICU and PCU units and to any of five hospital locations within skillset
• Night shift schedule: 3x12 hours, 19:00-07:00
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Patient ratio is 1:5+ when floated to PCU
• Epic EMR experience is preferred but not required
• Block scheduling is not allowed

Requirements

• Active NJ or compact RN license in hand; pending licenses not accepted
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; BLS must not expire within 30 days of assignment start
• Minimum 2 years of recent Neuro ICU experience within the past 12 months
• Must pass a Dysrhythmia Test within 72 hours of signing; only two attempts permitted and test must be completed on a PC
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required with no exemptions
• Must complete required labs within 48 hours of signing

Additional Information

• Must be able to monitor telemetry and work independently within ICU and PCU float settings
• Fit testing required with the expectation of being clean shaven
• Must provide requested RTO at the time of submission; no RTO within the first week of the assignment
• First-time travelers will be considered but are not preferred
• Living within 50 miles of the primary hospital will result in a lower pay rate
• Travelers are prioritized if requesting 4 days or less of RTO
• Traveler pairs are not accepted; must apply individually
