Details

School setting serving grades K-8
Average caseload of 35 students
Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Main responsibilities include daily student healthcare as outlined in IEPs or 504 plans
Services provided include diabetes and asthma care, as well as routine student health needs
No current severe or profound health needs within the caseload

Requirements

Active Illinois RN license required
Previous experience in school nursing or pediatrics required
Ability to provide care for students with chronic medical conditions such as diabetes and asthma

Additional Information

Fingerprinting must be completed in Illinois before the start date
Expected to document and deliver care based on IEP/504 requirements
Role requires regular communication with school staff and families regarding student health needs
