Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown Telemetry position requiring an IN or compact RN license and at least one year of recent stepdown experience.

Details

• Work in a hospital stepdown unit with flexible acuity patients
• Night shifts, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 7:30
• Every other weekend required
• May float to other stepdown or medical units as needed
• Floating to affiliate hospitals may be required based on volume or census
• One holiday shift per contract required
• Uses Cerner charting system; Cerner experience required
• Royal blue scrubs required

Requirements

• Active IN or compact RN license (license may be pending at time of application)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Minimum of 1 year recent stepdown experience required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• First-time travelers are not accepted
• Return staff must have a 3-year break before returning as a traveler

Additional Information

• Completion of up to 8 hours of online modules required within 1 week of signing, prior to start
• Professional conduct is strictly enforced; violations may result in immediate contract termination
• Travelers may be assigned to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals
• Maximum of 10 days RTO allowed; if requesting time off during holidays, must be willing to work one of the three holiday shifts
