American Traveler is hiring a PCU Float RN with at least 1 year of experience and an active GA or compact RN license for night shifts floating across MS, MS/Tele, and PCU units.

Details

• Position is hospital-based, floating between Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Med Surg, and MS/Tele units
• Care is primarily for adult and geriatric patients
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4-5 on PCU and 1:5-6 on MS/MS Tele
• Experience with Epic EMR is required; uses Pyxis and SBAR
• Night shift, 4x12 hours per week, 19:00–07:00
• Every other weekend work required
• Floating between all eligible units within the hospital is required
• No call requirements

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience required
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Experience with adult and geriatric patient populations
• Epic EMR experience is required
• Must provide two recent supervisory references (manager or above); charge nurse references not accepted
• Perm/PRN employees must have one year away from all Piedmont facilities before returning as a traveler

Additional Information

• Float to various units as needed, covering core PCU, MS, and MS/Tele diagnoses
• Expected to work all assigned major holidays per contract terms (see policy for specifics)
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Modules completed during orientation and recorded via transcript
• RTO is limited to 7 days; cannot request RTO during the first week or for major holidays per facility policy
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
• Compliance with onboarding and orientation must be completed promptly to ensure start date
