Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a surgical unit position in a high-volume, non-trauma community hospital, requiring a MD or compact RN license and prior acute care operating room experience.

Details

• Work in a non-trauma designated community hospital
• Surgical unit with 14 operating rooms handling 35-40 cases daily
• Mix of outpatient and inpatient cases including general, GYN, plastics, orthopedics, and bariatrics
• Care provided to pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
• 12.5-hour shifts from 09:00 to 21:30
• Four call shifts per six-week schedule: two weekdays and two independent weekend days or nights
• Scrub experience is valued but not required

Requirements

• Active MD or compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years of OR RN experience in an acute care setting
• Preferred specialty experience in orthopedics, vascular, robotics, and plastics
• Nursys verification and primary source license verification required within 30 days of assignment start
• Must have a valid US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Two professional references, skills checklist, and copy of driver's license required for consideration

• Role includes circulating and assisting in various surgical procedures with opportunities for specialty cases
• Orientation provides unit-specific training and support from experienced surgical staff
• COVID-19 vaccination is not currently required
• Local candidates are accepted at a reduced rate in accordance with facility radius rules
