American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in Washington, DC, requiring an active DC RN license and recent hospital experience.

Details

• Work in the Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit of a hospital
• Three 12-hour day shifts per week required
• Patient care involves a varied adult population requiring telemetry monitoring
• Assignment is 13 weeks in duration

Requirements

• Active DC RN license is required at the time of consideration
• Minimum of two years of Med/Surg Tele experience in a US hospital required
• Certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) are required
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification is mandated
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, with at least one from the most recent employer
• Candidate must possess a valid US Social Security Number

Additional Information

• Must live at least 25 miles from the facility to qualify as a traveler
• Responsibilities include performing assessments, delivering competent patient care, and documenting according to hospital policy
• Role involves providing care across the lifespan and interpreting patient needs
