American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) night shift position requiring a SC or compact RN license and at least two years of pediatric cardiac ICU experience.

Details

• Position is in a 29-bed Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU focused on cardiac surgical and medical pediatric patients
• Referral center for all major pediatric cardiac surgery in South Carolina
• Patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 depending on acuity
• Common procedures include cardiac surgery, ventricular assist devices (VAD), heart transplant, cardiac catheterization, ECMO/CRRT, and pediatric palliative care
• All beds are monitored
• Shift schedule is 3x12s, 7:00 pm to 7:30 am
• Four weekend shifts required every four weeks with holiday rotation
• Floating within the scope required to meet facility needs
• EPIC is used for charting
• Assignment length is 13 weeks

Requirements

• Active SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
• Minimum of 2 years pediatric cardiac ICU experience required
• Experience with cardiovascular and pediatric ICU care required
• Ventilatory and cardiac support experience highly preferred
• VAD experience highly preferred
• PALS and BLS (AHA only) certifications required
• ACLS (AHA only) preferred
• Drivers license and SSN required for consideration

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Block scheduling possible with manager approval
• Previous staff (including PRN) must have a one-year separation from this health system before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off must be provided at submission and is subject to approval
• Locals accepted within a 60-mile radius, with a local pay rate applied
• Modules must be completed pre-start and take approximately 4 hours
• Hurricane season may require participation in emergency response teams
