American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with neuro surgery experience and a valid WA or compact RN license for a Level II trauma center.

Details

• Work in the Operating Room of a short-term acute care hospital
• Position specializes in neuro surgery procedures
• Daily patient ratio is 1:1
• Level II Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
• Day shift schedule with four 10-hour shifts, 6:00 to 16:00
• On-call required once per week and one week out of every six weeks, with weekend on-call only
• No block scheduling and no floating required for this position
• Charting is done using Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active WA or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room RN experience required
• Experience in neuro surgery required
• Current BLS certification required
• Familiarity with Epic EMR required
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references from the past three years within comparable specialties/settings must be provided

Additional Information

• Role focuses on assisting with complex neuro surgeries and supporting surgical teams in the OR
• Travelers may be expected to float between nearby sister facilities within the state if needed
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
• Local candidates accepted at a lower pay rate and must live more than 50 miles from the facility
• All RTO or scheduling requests must be declared up front for consideration
• Orientation includes completion of pre-start and annual online modules, averaging 16 hours
• Any color scrubs may be worn by RNs
