American Traveler is hiring a PCU/Telemetry RN for night shifts, requiring at least two years of hospital experience and an active Oklahoma or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Telemetry/Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of an acute care hospital
• Level 3 Trauma Center with 171 staffed beds
• Care for patients with higher acuity medical-surgical needs without drips
• Typical patient ratios are 1:4
• Primary diagnoses include altered mental status, CHF, stroke, orthopedic and surgical cases, DKA, and infections
• Night shifts (3x12s), 18:30-07:00, with three weekend shifts required per six weeks
• Float within scope as needed to meet facility needs
• Epic charting system experience required

Requirements

• Active OK or compact state RN license required at the time of consideration
• Two years of recent hospital RN experience required
• At least two successful travel assignments completed with no attendance or performance issues
• Certifications required: BLS and ACLS
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Basic dysrhythmia training preferred; must self-rate at level 3 or above in cardiac care
• Epic EMR experience required, with recent usage preferred
• No previous background or license issues permitted
• No first-time travelers considered

Additional Information

• Zero-fault attendance policy: all missed shifts count as unexcused, with potential for cancellation after multiple absences
• All assigned modules must be completed before starting the assignment
• Pre-employment lab visit required within 48-72 hours of accepting the offer
• Maximum of five days of requested time off allowed per contract, with no holidays or additional RTO after submittal
• No block scheduling or special scheduling requests accommodated
• Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• Scrub color varies by unit
